Tropical Beach Pajamas
Equally appropriate as the most delicious of loungewear, at a tropical yard party, or as breezy eveningwear.
Beach Pajamas first appeared in the late 1920's as beach cover-ups and resort wear. They helped pave the way for the acceptability of women wearing trousers in public. By the early 1930's lounge pajamas were all the rage!
Our one-piece tropical beach pajamas are made of Italian satin, woven and printed in the Lake Como region. Cool and comfortable with a silk face and cotton back, this is the ultimate in luxury loungewear. The lush print was hand drawn for us by Esther Garcia of Butterfat studios and features the tropical flora of the Costa Rican rain forest. Each piece includes an extra-long sash of black silk charmeuse that can be tied in front or back in order to perfectly adjust the fit and feel depending on your mood. Hand made silk bias trim frames the elegant lines of this piece at the neckline and armhole.
Our beach pajamas are handcrafted to order following a slow fashion model. This means that each piece is made with the utmost care and attention; each jumpsuit is placed cut and sewn individually in our Chicago atelier.
